Museum of Appalchia
Life as it was in the Mountains of East Tennessee. That is what you will find at the Museum of Appalachia. Its a short drive to Hwy 61, one mile east of Hwy 75, on exit 122. While visiting you will find original homestead structures and life as it was 100 years ago for the people of Appalchia. Life was hard but life was good. You will find old outbuildings, barns and many other historical buildings and if you come the right time of year there are bluegrass festivals, food, and many other items. There is a museum on site with artifacts that have been donated and retreived down through the years. This is a must on any vacation trip.
